202 on Washington becoming a gathering spot

ST. FRANCIS – A project downtown is being supported by young and old, as older residents appreciate new life coming to an old, familiar building, and young residents look forward to live music and other events that 202 on Washington could bring to St. Francis.

Grant funds paid for the purchase by the Cheyenne Center for Creativity of the 5,000-square-foot, 100-year-old building. On Dec. 6, more than 100 children met Santa and Mrs. Claus there, bringing a taste of the impact the fully restored facility for public and private events will have on St. Francis.

“Oh, I get the vision,” visitors often say.
