Oberlin Teens for Christ (TFC) has received a $5,000 grant. The grant will provide needed updates to the organization’s facility and purchase electronic equipment for programs.
Many of the churches in Oberlin are small and do not have their own youth group, so Teens for Christ provides an opportunity for teens from many denominations and teens without a church home to come together. TFC has been active in Oberlin for 17 years. The youth meet weekly during the school year.
The space used by the organization is provided free of charge, but TFC is responsible for the upkeep and any upgrades.
The Hansen Foundation grant will provide new carpet and paint, the installation of a suspended ceiling and a new central air conditioning unit. In addition, the grant will also purchase some new equipment including a computer, projector and printer.
