A Hansen Foundation grant was used to purchase a former residence to make a home for a new museum. As a bonus, the garage building was made available to the city to store the city bus, and other equipment. The original museum was housed in the basement of a historic building that burned. Some of the current Museum Board members were part of a group that sifted through the ashes and debris to salvage what they could. They have stored what they could and gathered other items to store in the hopes that they could get a new home for the museum.
