A grant from the Hansen Foundation helped to purchase equipment used in new business and ag entrepreneur classes at Minneapolis High School. The objective was to give students the opportunity to learn how to put a business plan together, earn a wage and to offer a product to the community that is unique. Students were able to offer a product that our local community members cannot buy in town. Students had opportunities to share their businesses and learning at different civic groups. One young man, after taking this course and creating his business, has decided to pursue sales as a career. The class will evolve next year to not only focus on selling products locally, but also globally.
