COMMUNITY FOUNDATION KACF SUPPORT
The Hansen Foundation recognizes the value of networking and training. In Kansas, the Kansas Association of Community Foundations (KACF) offers small foundations opportunities to do both.
As a result, the Hansen Foundation has provided support for countywide community foundations in Northwest Kansas to participate in KACF offerings.
NEW for 2022-23, the Hansen Foundation Trustees are requesting that each participating community foundation board participate in a special board education & conversation before September 2023. Membership Support
For countywide community foundations with assets of less than $10 Million, in the Hansen Foundation’s 26-county service area, assistance with membership dues is available.
KACF Annual Conference for Community Foundations
The Hansen Foundation will cover 2 registrations per eligible community foundation and the cost of the hotel stay for scholarship participants. Hotel costs are limited to two nights per registrant (4 total hotel nights) and will be reimbursed at no more than the conference rate.
Each eligible community foundation board can select up to two participants from each county.
Selected participants will register for the conference directly using the link on the KACF website (kansascfs.org). When conference registration opens, a code will be sent to eligible foundations by email to use when registering. The cost will show as $0. If registering multiple participants in the same registration, please be sure to provide individual emails so each participant will receive updates and reminders. The Hansen Foundation will pay conference fees directly to KACF.
Hotel costs are typically booked through the host foundations, either Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation or Greater Salina Community Foundation. The Hansen Foundation pays the host foundation following the conference.
