Jewell County Threshing Bee has the steam

MANKATO – The internal tubes of a 1924 Russell Steam Traction Engine were replaced, preparing the engine to safely fire up for the 42nd annual Jewell County Threshing Bee in July and for years to come.

The steam engine is used each year to power the thresher, as well as other equipment, during the event. Volunteers have celebrated “the good ‘ol days” at the event for more than four decades.
