GOODLAND – Northwest Tech is in the process of purchasing and renovating the former Elks Lodge next to the campus into the Price Conference Center.

The facility is named after Zona Price, who worked as a secretary to the college president in 1964 when the college was first established. After retiring from the college, she became secretary of the Elks Lodge until 2022. She contributed more than 50 years of service to NWK Tech and the Elks.

Construction is set to begin in June and is expected to be completed in January 2024. A Hansen Foundation grant and American Recovery Plan Act funds are part of the funding for the $1 million project.

The space will be dedicated to events, such as regional workshops, conferences, college fundraisers, live music and entertainment.
