New exhibits at Dane G. Hansen Museum a hit with patrons

LOGAN – Since its renovation in 2021, the Dane G. Hansen Museum has had more than 2,300 visitors sign the guest book before enjoying state-of-the-art standing exhibits, as well as rotating art exhibitions.

Visitors are now able to immerse themselves in the Hansen story, and numerous people have engaged with the new interactive kiosks.

One special visitor was Rea Iman, one of Mr. Hansen’s former office employees. She made a trip to Logan from her home in Albuquerque, N.M., to see the newly renovated museum. She was delighted to see the vignette of Mr. Hansen’s office, as it brought back many memories of her secretarial days at the Hansen Lumber Yard.  Mrs. Iman remembered dusting the desk and filling the ink well each morning.

The museum offered 19 continuing education classes in 2021 covering a wide variety of interests. Almost 300 people participated, learning about traditional art mediums and the culinary arts.

The 47th annual Hansen Museum Arts and Crafts Fair and 43rd annual Labor Day Celebration were both successful.
