GOODLAND – Grant funds helped purchase and install a four-post car lift with a rolling bridge jack attachment so that Northwest Kansas Technical College automotive repair students have the equipment they need to learn their trade.
The cable-based hydraulic lift has a capacity of 14,000 pounds and can raise ¾ ton diesel pickups and larger vehicles for fast, easy and safe diagnosis and repair.
Students installed the lift. They provide their services at a heavily discounted rate for local customers. Students repair vehicles under the supervision of instructors.
