RIPPLE EFFECTS MAPPING

DETERMINE GRANT IMPACTS THROUGH RIPPLE EFFECTS MAPPING

Communities across NW Kansas have completed many projects to help improve the quality of life and attract new resident to the area. It’s time for communities to share their successes and the impact of their efforts.

To determine the impact, communities are invited to participate in a process called Ripple Effects Mapping. The Ripple Effects process is an effective and engaging way to get information out of a person’s brain and on to paper in a visual way. Through the use of “mind maps,” stories and ripples are drawn and coded to measure outcomes from a grant.

The result is a visual story of how a single grant can have a rippling effect in a community, sort of like following the circles that come from dropping a stone in a pond. It becomes easy to see the impact individual grants have made.
