PHILLIPSBURG – More than 200 children’s books were distributed as part of the StoryWalk Project in Phillipsburg, Long Island and Kirwin.
Families were able to walk outside and read stories together in various places. The Logan Manor placed storyboards in the residents’ windows during March, April and May, allowing for some interaction between the residents and families that came to read stories.
The Phillips County assessor said he enjoyed hearing laughter and excitement as children heard stories read on the courthouse square.
Starting this May, plans are to put a new story on the StoryWalk boards every two weeks through the fall.
