Video celebrates 25th year of Grassroots Art Center

LUCAS – When the Grassroots Art Center recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, a film was produced featuring Executive Director Rosslyn Schultz and several of the board members and volunteers who made the Lucas museum and its efforts to curate collections of art produced by self-taught artists a success.

Videoed interviews with three featured artists were also made for use on social media and in connection with museum displays via QR codes. The films were funded by a Hansen Foundation grant.

When Schultz recently retired, the anniversary film was aired at a “Hello Goodbye Party,” for Schultz’s retirement and the introduction of the new executive director, Chandler Reich Sellens. The video can be viewed under Grants in Action at danehansenfoundation.org.
