BREWSTER – When a community walking trail was constructed, Brewster used an idea from Bird City and stamped donors’ names into the freshly poured concrete. Each five-foot-by-five-foot slab was stamped with the name of a family or business who sponsored it.

In addition to individual donors, grants from the Thomas County Community Foundation, the Pete Henry Foundation, and the Dane G. Hansen Foundation funded the project, as well as a contribution from the Brewster Recreation Committee.

The result of this project was a dream fulfilled!  Adults, children, families and pets can be seen utilizing the trail every day.  There are plans for more improvements such as lights and benches already in the process.
