Video brings attention to Jewell County

JEWELL – Volunteers of all ages were happy to participate in the filming of a one-minute promotional video featuring scenes from across Jewell County.

The video “sends a hopeful message that Jewell County’s future is bright and that the youth are being brought up in a happy and healthy community,” said Kyra Lampe, director of the Jewell County Community Foundation.

In addition to a grant from the Hansen Foundation, Jewell County Revitalization received a 60/40 Tourism Marketing Grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce, a grant from the Jewell County Community Foundation and used some of its own funds.

A cohesive brand that the whole community would feel represented by and that encompassed unique aspects from across the county was established with the video –  Jewell County, Kansas: Where the Sky Meets the Earth.

Within a couple weeks of launching the video on social media, it had received 119 shares on Facebook and reached over 6,500 people. It is also being used on the county’s MakeMyMove profile. View the video here: https://www.jewellcountykansas.com/
