OBERLIN – A unique aspect of GROW Decatur County Community Foundation’s Match Month is Christmas tree ornaments that are hand-painted by board secretary Laurie Wasson. “Purchased” ornaments decorate a tree at Raye’s Grocery in Oberlin.
This year more than 50 ornaments were placed on the tree. A second tree is planned for next year as the tradition grows.
The Match Month goal was more than doubled, and all matching funds available through the Hansen Foundation and the Patterson Family Foundation were received.
