OAKLEY – Audience members enjoyed a musical tour of Mexico during a concert performance of the Marimba Sol de Chiapas group that was part of the 2023-24 Western Plains Arts Association season.
Director John Currey shared information about the instruments and the areas covered in the tour, and the group performed a wide variety of selections.
A Hansen Foundation grant matched Mid-America Arts Alliance funds to cover the artist’s fees for the performance.
