LUCAS – A new water tower and nitrate removal equipment have addressed Lucas’ water storage and treatment needs for years into the future.
The new 50,000-gallon steel tower is providing safe drinking water, good water pressure and fire protection for the long-term. It has been completed and passed final inspection.
The project was funded through a Community Development Block Grant, American Rescue Plan Act funds, a Kansas Department of Health and Environment loan and a Dane G. Hansen Foundation grant.
