Health educators help area children develop healthy habits

The Kansas Learning Center for Health remains a popular choice offered through the Hansen Foundation’s NWKansas LEARNS initiative.

In their sixth year, KLCH health programming reached 3,818 students in 16 counties in Northwest Kansas.

KLCH educators have returned to many schools for five or six years in a row. This year, educators reached a new school district that was very pleased with the presentations. KLCH classes were offered to the entire school.

Year after year, health educators reunite with students to explore the next important health education topic. These sessions are not just about imparting information — they become a time for deep discussion and the development of lifelong healthy habits.
