PHILLIPSBURG — This year, Phillips County Health Systems’ Student Loan Repayment Program directly supported the recruitment of a full-time physician, an emergency room provider, a laboratory technician, and a physical therapist. Each represented a high-need position for the organization and community, and their addition has strengthened access to care, reduced patient appointment delays, and stabilized key departments.

While the program was originally designed to support retention and reduce financial barriers for existing staff, it has evolved into a differentiator that helps the organization attract top clinical talent in a highly competitive labor market.

A Hansen Foundation grant helps cover the cost of the quarterly loan repayments.
