A surgical instrument washer is providing a safer, time-saving process to assure surgical instruments are sterile at Republic County Hospital.
The system, purchased partially with grant funds, will wash and sterilize six fully loaded trays of contaminated instruments per use. Staff members no longer need to wash and sterilize all surgical instruments by hand.
