Ballistic blankets that provide protection from firearms or explosive threats have been placed with three area law enforcement agencies and are being used during training by the North Central Kansas Special Response team.
The blankets, two of which were purchased with grant funds, will be used to more safely evacuate civilians from dangerous environments.
