OAKLEY – Murals highlighting Oakley’s history and the area’s beauty have added visual appeal in downtown Oakley.
Hays artist Dennis Schiel painted an Oakley mural on a wall of the grocery store, and a Monument Rocks mural created by local high school students was installed on the side of the Farm & Home building.
The beautification project, which was partially funded by a Foundation grant, was launched as a Strategic Doing project, after community residents identified the need.
