PHILLIPSBURG – A focus on retaining young people in the area is helped by the Entrepreneurial Center, an economic development resource that provides classroom and computers for seminars and in-house corporate training.
During an E-Center event featuring career opportunities in Phillips County, high school juniors and seniors heard career advice from about 30 young professionals in the area.
Grant funding underwrote operations for the E-Center, which offers among its assets, a small business workstation, where entrepreneurs can create business plans, loan applications and financial data.
More than 450 people participated in training sessions and other events held at the E-Center over a recent one-year period.
