LITTLE JERUSALEM BADLANDS STATE PARK – Kansas’ newest state park, south of Oakley, is also anticipated to be its most-visited state park.

The development and implementation of signage and a plan for promoting the site as an ecotourism destination is being funded through a grant in an effort to draw more visitors in to appreciate the natural beauty of Northwest Kansas, as well as other amenities the area has to offer.

Grant funding also paid for development of a sustainability plan for operating the park without damage to its natural assets. Kansas State University students collected data and worked on the plan, and a graduate student will compile the final report this spring.
