COLBY – An 18,000-square-foot facility that accommodates intramural wrestling competitions, weight training and batting practice also brings the possibility of a soccer team in the future for Colby Community College.

The Big Blue Barn was funded completely by grants and private donations, without tax support. The Dane G. Hansen Foundation provided $500,000 for the project.

The facility also provides a track for running in a temperature-controlled environment. Former CCC alumnus Daniel Cormier, a two-time Olympian and two-time United Fighting Champion, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony in January.
