QUINTER – Heather Zerr, director of the Gove County Early Learning Center, said she explains the role of a child care provider this way:

“This profession is whole body working, the same as the curriculum we implement.  It takes emotional connection, mental strength and physical ability to provide for the children the way they deserve.”

She said staff longevity bonuses make her employees “feel seen and important.”

One of her employees put it this way: “In addition to being financially helpful, the bonus also makes me feel like there are people who realize how important the work I do is and these people are working to make sure I am able to continue to do it.”
