ST. FRANCIS – A new 30-foot-by-50-foot storage building will provide a location to store nine carnival rides and eight games other than the week of the Cheyenne County Fair.
The Cheyenne County Amusement Authority, organized in 1981, has provided a safe, well-maintained and economical carnival for 42 years, but storage and workspace have always been a problem. Space in is cramped, and things get damaged.
Those problems are solved by the new building, which was partially funded by a Hansen Foundation grant. The life of the carnival’s trained volunteers just got easier.
