DELPHOS – Renovations have begun that are making the Delphos City Auditorium a venue that can accommodate an increasing number of public events.

The city of Delphos replaced the building’s roof, and a grant funded projects to make the structure of the building secure, open up the stage and make the building accessible to all. Fundraising has begun to pay for climate control systems that will make the building usable throughout the year.

Volunteer labor provided by members of the Delphos Youth Group and a local contractor helped make the project feasible.

After the closing of the school, there had been no building suitable for a large community gathering. Improvements to the auditorium are making it available to serve that function. A community Christmas program, pancake day, and a Delphos alumni meeting are among events that have already taken place in the renovated auditorium.
