DOWNS – Downs residents know what it takes to tell a good story, and the 26th annual Kansas Storytelling Festival held April 26 and 27 was all the proof you need.
Not only did stories flow freely, but so did friendships – and delicious, homemade desserts! Grant funds paid for the services of two featured professional storytellers at the event, as well as a youth storytelling workshop held in March.
One of the many positive comments received: “I had never been to a storytelling festival before, so it was all new to me. I enjoyed the way the storytellers could take everyday experiences and make them memorable by bringing out their humor and/or sentimentality.”
Plans are already underway for 2020!
