MANKATO – Hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that promote cognitive, social and emotional growth is provided to children of all ages at Jewell County Strong Community Daycare through Montessori materials.
As children master new skills, a boost in confidence and self-esteem has been observed by staff.
The variety of Montessori toys purchased through grant funding from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation has had a positive impact in children who are more engaged, focused and cooperative. Math and language skills have flourished as well.
