WILSON – A coffee bar and soup/sandwich/pastry kitchen is providing a new source of revenue for a market and gallery where Kansas-made products are sold.

The Kansas Originals Market and Gallery — which caters to travelers at the I-70 exit taken by visitors to Wilson Lake, Wilson and Lucas — will attract more visitors with the addition of a coffee bar, and food items including sandwiches, breakfast burritos and kolaches, a Czech pastry.

Grant funding paid for a new refrigerator, and funding is being raised for additional kitchen appliances. Local bakers are supplying baked goods for the shop.

More than 20,000 visitors annually are attracted to the unique attractions in the Lucas and Wilson communities, along with the 120,000 visitors to Wilson Lake during the year.
