NORTON – Towards the end of the Match Month campaign, a woman who had seen yard signs all over Norton designating places and programs that had received grant funds from the Norton County Community Foundation called to get more information.

She had grown up in Norton and had been back for her father’s funeral. After 30 minutes of discussion, she agreed to donate enough to get the foundation past the finish line to reach its fundraising goal.

Other donations also arrived, so the foundation more than exceeded its goal to get the full match from the Hansen Foundation and the Patterson Family Foundation.
