In its ninth year of holding a Match Month, Heartland Community Foundation went “the whole 9 yards” to attract donors.
Inspired by football terminology, the campaign incorporated football visuals and terms and used symbols like foam fingers, pennants, and other elements to bring the theme to life.
The timing was perfect as the Kansas City Chiefs were making their Super Bowl run, creating a sense of excitement and unity around the theme.
The football theme brought energy to the campaign, making it stand out in a way that encouraged participation and helped elevate the overall experience for supporters.
Community engagement was strong, thanks to events like Coffee Chats, Souper Bowl Lunches, and Change Wars, which brought people together and helped spread the word.
More than enough money was raised to receive the full match from the Hansen Foundation and Patterson Family Foundation for Ellis, Trego and Rooks counties.
