COLBY – The Pioneer Memorial Library provides new meeting spaces and more accessibility after installation of a new entryway, an interior redesign and renovations. A grand opening was held April 7, 2025.

Hush offices have been a huge success. Online registration was implemented to schedule usage. Office No. 3 is ADA accessible and allows groups of one to six people. It’s been popular with users needing space to write reports and conduct training. It had been used 94 times by the end of June. A Hansen Foundation grant covered much of the cost of Office No. 3.

The Hush offices have been used in creative ways. Two violinists practiced in one. Library staff and other local people have been producing podcasts there. One afternoon, a trainer had an employee in the Hush office learning about baby care.
