OSBORNE – Since a vacant building in downtown Osborne was transformed into a large event space, the Sims Event Center has been the site of wedding receptions, family gatherings, school functions, conferences and more. However, without a commercial kitchen on site, some events couldn’t be held there.

Grant funds helped convert an adjoining building into a 1,700-square-foot culinary incubator kitchen, which can be used for event center functions, but can also be rented separately by local food entrepreneurs. The Roadhouse Culinary Kitchen, completed in April, is a state-of-the-art facility.
