College and high school students gained skills by working at 84 Northwest Kansas businesses during the summer of 2019 as part of the Nex-Gen Internship Program.
Grant funding helped support the cost of wages for students, as they explored professional opportunities available in the area.
The program has expanded since it began in 2011 with six interns.
