Library renovation source of community pride

SYLVAN GROVE – The addition of space for community programs and facilities that are accessible to all made the Sylvan Grove Library a source community pride when it reopened April 24 after an expansion project.

New computers and public access stations are providing more access to community members for everything from studying for a GED to applying for a job to researching medical treatments for a sick child.

The project, which was funded by a Foundation grant, as well as other grants, has attracted new library patrons. It was made possible by many community volunteers who spent hours packing, sorting and moving books, furniture and supplies.
