Lovegrass Music Festival grows at Lake Wilson State Park

LAKE WILSON – About 1,500 people attended the 7th annual Lovegrass Music Festival at Lake Wilson State Park.

Six professional touring bluegrass acts performed, among other performances that graced the main stage and a new secondary stage throughout the August weekend. Hansen Foundation grant funds paid a portion of the performance fee for the Saturday evening headliner – The Fretliners.

Local vendors were a hit with attendees, including a blacksmith who did hands-on demonstrations, a vendor who made flower arrangements and crowns for participants to wear, a felting expert and local food trucks. All vendors sold out of their goods.

Among those in attendance were people from 15 other states.
