BELOIT – New manikins were opened at a December 2023 Open House as an “early Christmas gift” for employees of Mitchell County EMS. Area medical professionals are training on and continuing to learn new capabilities of the infant, toddler and adult manikins.
The new training equipment was used in an ice rescue training last February that included multiple departments. The Mitchell County Dive Team staged a fall through the ice on Waconda Lake, and a manikin was utilized after the initial rescue.
