Medical clinics, offices expand possibilities in Grainfield

GRAINFIELD – A building purchased by the Grainfield Community Development Committee utilizing grant funds has been renovated primarily by local volunteers into medical clinic and office space.

A medical esthetician, massage therapist and counselor began utilizing space in the building’s west side shortly after the purchase. After a year of renovations, the middle section of the building opened in June as a satellite clinic for BlueStem Medical. BlueStem provides care for local elderly patients and non-emergency cases, as well as delivering medication from the pharmacy in Quinter.

Need for the clinic was fully apparent on June 19, when 21 patients were seen in one day, including three walk-ins.

A hair and nail salon was planned for office space being renovated in the third section of the building.

Grainfield area residents can come to one location to get both physical and mental health checkups, have their hair and nails done, and receive massages and facials.
