GOODLAND – Aluminum fencing that meets new state requirements for home-owned carnivals had an unexpectedly positive response from people attending the carnival during July 4 and fair events.
Attendees expressed appreciation for the more professional look of the carnival grounds and improved entrance and exit gates leading to rides. The new fencing, which surrounds each ride, was required to enhance safety during carnival events. The fencing was also used for perimeter fencing during the 4-H dog show.
Grant funds covered much of the cost of the fencing.
