SALINA – Fundraising is ongoing for renovations needed in the Salina Public Library’s Youth Services area, and young patrons are looking forward to completion of the project.
A Hansen Foundation grant was awarded before the public phase of the campaign kicked off in May. About 600 community members attended the kickoff event, and information about the campaign has reached more than 10,000 people on Facebook. About 40 percent of the overall goal had been raised by September for the project estimated to cost around $3.6 million.
