Grant funds paid for stipends awarded to five area educators selected as teacher ambassadors for the HirePaths program, which promotes exploration of careers available in Northwest Kansas.

Kelly Kimerer, of Glasco High School; Emily Buller, of Hays Middle School; Valerie Brown-Kuchera, of Quinter schools; Kaley Schnack, of Bickerdyke Elementary in Russell; and Jennifer Kesler, of Stockton Grade School, were selected as ambassadors, writing social media and blog posts and submitting lesson plans made available to other Kansas teachers.

The teachers used HirePaths materials in their classrooms to educate students about career opportunities available in the state and area.
